As human beings we all want to be happy and free from misery... we have learned that the key to happiness is inner peace. The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as anger, attachment, fear and suspicion, while love and compassion and a sense of universal responsibility are the sources of peace and happiness. -Dalai Lama
So I ask you, (and you are free to accept or refuse) what obstacles are you currently challenged with on your road to inner peace?
Luckily I have worked through anger, fear, and suspicion and now I am currently working on my severe attachment issues. During my childhood there was a substantial lack of acceptance, abundance, and purpose, which has empowered me in a drive that can be hard to detain. The devotion to these "needs" have unfortunately been the blinders to how important the little things in life are. Through the dedication of becoming more aware of this force, it puts me in a position to slow down, however, it's still very challenging and the obstacle still get's the best of me.
